Last week I touched on the Natural Gas market and why it looks so appealing to me. I got a lot of feedback and questions about where to find commodities in ProfitSource. It's relatively simple, but if you're not set up properly you may have difficulty finding this information. So I, with a little help from Mitch Genser, would like to take this week's article and show you right now how to find Natural Gas, as well as other commodities using ProfitSource.
So let's jump in and make sure that we can, for starters, identify and use price charts from ProfitSource that can help us study the five asset classes we have referenced earlier. If you don't have ProfitSource, rest assured. There are many other resources out there that can provide you with price charts of the instruments we will be mentioning in this section.
Make friends with the 'Nav Bar' by the red arrow.
Chart 1
So now you can access the world of financial markets living inside of ProfitSource.
If your screen isn't populated with asset classes such as 'Futures' or 'Forex,' then click on 'Settings' so that you can enable all the features embedded in ProfitSource to take advantage of the charts of the various financial markets living inside the software.
Chart 2

Now go to the 'Nav Bar' to ensure that all your 'symbol tree' instruments are checked for Forex (currencies), Futures, Indices, and Stocks.
Chart 3
To make sure that the requested symbols arrive to your desktop, you may need to perform the 'Symbols Maintenance Wizard' as your final step.
Chart 4
Click on the 'Advanced' button
Chart 5
Go ahead and check 'Refresh all Symbols,' which will also check 'Update Futures Root Symbols' and add 'Update Warrant Symbols' if you are so inclined.
Chart 6
Hit 'Next' and let the software do its 'Update in Progress' " and that should enable you to glance at charts representing all sorts of 'Asset Classes.'
Chart 7
Now you are ready to look at price charts for Futures, Commodities, Currencies, Bonds, proxies for Real Estate, Equities, Indices, etc. You name it!
