Q: What is included when I buy ProfitSource?
A: You will receive the ProfitSource software, manual, 12 months of end of day data for stocks, index and technical support, along with software version upgrades.

Q: Are there ongoing costs after the initial purchase price?
A: After the first 12 months, you will need to renew your annual maintenance subscription which includes: end of day data, product upgrades, technical support and more. Click here for pricing details.

Q: What are the differences between data-on-demand (DOD), end-of-day (EOD) and real-time data?

  • Data-on-demand (DOD): DOD is the technology ProfitSource uses to access market data. It means that you don't have to download the entire market like you would when using traditional software. Data is accessed on an as-requested basis by the software. For example, if you call up a CSCO chart, ProfitSource will access the our server and pull all of the CSCO data for your chart in seconds.
  • End-of-day (EOD): EOD data means that the prices that you access will not be updated until one hour after the market closes each trading day. This is standard with ProfitSource.
  • Delayed: Delayed data means that the data feed is delayed (typically by 20 minutes).
  • Real-time: Real-time data means that the data is delivered to your computer as it happens in the market.

Q: If I want real-time data, how much does it cost and how do I order it?
A: Real-time data and delayed data for U.S. stocks and options is available and can be ordered by calling ProfitSource technical support. Note that this is an extra charge in addition to your subscription to the our data service.

Q: Can I install ProfitSource on two computers, such as my desktop and laptop?
A: Yes. Simply call ProfitSource technical support and order a second user license.Doing so is free of charge; however, it is limited to one extra license per user. Both of your licences are linked to your ProfitSource account, so you can only use one computer running ProfitSource at a time.
